1. Qualification for thesis
Applicants for master’s dissertation are required to meet all following prerequisite requirements.
① Completion of 24 credits
At least 18 credits must be completed in this interdisciplinary program, including at least 12 credits in the major track.
② Successful passing of qualification examination (general test + foreign language test)
General test: Required to obtain at least 18 credits before applying for the test (two or more areas by department, 70 points in average required for passing)
Foreign language test: may be exempted if applicants meet qualification requirements. (Refer to the guideline below of this table)
③ Meet any one of the following prerequisite:
- At least 1 publication of academic paper in on-campus or off-campus academic journal.
- For the Digital Arts major, participation in at least 2 international exhibitions.
- For the Human Interaction Design major, at least 2 presentations at international academic conferences.
④ All requirements above must be completed before thesis evaluation and the thesis must be successfully passed by the committee to graduate.
Doctorate program
1. Qualification for dissertation proposal
Applicants for presentation of doctorate dissertation proposal are required to meet all following prerequisite requirements.
① Completion of 36 credits
At least 27 credits must be completed in this interdisciplinary program, including at least 18 credits in the major track.
② Successful passing of qualification examination (general test + foreign language test)
General test: Required to obtain at least 27 credits before applying for the test (three or more areas by department, 70 points in average required for passing)
Foreign language test: may be exempted if applicants meet qualification requirements. (Refer to the guideline below of this table)
③ At least 2 academic papers worthy of being considered for publication at KCI (solo or lead author)2. Qualification for defending dissertation
Applicants for defending a final doctorate dissertation are required to meet all requirements above. Dissertation evaluation will be conducting in the following semester after defending dissertation.
Integrated master's and doctorate program
1. Qualification for dissertation proposal
Applicants for presentation of integrated master's and doctorate dissertation proposal are required to meet all following prerequisite requirements.
① Completion of 54 credits
At least 42 credits must be completed in this interdisciplinary program, including at least 30 credits in the major track.
② Successful passing of qualification examination (general test + foreign language test)
General test: Required to obtain at least 45 credits before applying for the test (three or more areas by department, 70 points in average required for passing)
Foreign language test: may be exempted if applicants meet qualification requirements. (Refer to the guideline below of this table)
③ At least 3 academic papers worthy of being considered for publication at KCI (solo or lead author)2. Qualification for defending dissertation
Applicants for defending a final doctorate dissertation are required to meet all requirements above. Dissertation evaluation will be conducting in the following semester after defending dissertation.
Foreign language test exemptation policy

• The of this interdisciplinary program shall be a single test for All students participating in the collaborative program take a single
foreign language test regardless of master's, doctorate, and the integrated degree programs.
Thesis or Dissertation Screening Committee
• The Thesis or Dissertation Screening Committee shall be organized as follows in consultation of the head professor and academic advisors:
• The Thesis Screening Committee: Three professors for master’s program (including at least 2 professors participating in this interdisciplinary program),
• The Dissertation Screening Committee: Five professors for doctorate and the integrated programs (including at least 2 professors participating in this interdisciplinary program and at least 2 full-time faculties from different school).
